The University of Ibadan (UI), established in 1948, is Nigeria’s oldest degree-awarding university and one of the country’s most respected public research institutions. Originally founded as a college of the University of London, UI gained independence in 1962 and has since grown into a large, multi-disciplinary university with 92 academic departments across 13 faculties<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
