Overview

National Central University (NCU), located in Zhongli District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan, is a distinguished public research university with a long heritage dating back to its foundation in 1902. It was re‑established in Taiwan in 1962 and has since grown into a major center for science, engineering, humanities, and management education. Hosting over 11,000 students, including more than 1,000 international learners, NCU is a member of the University System of Taiwan, sharing resources with leading institutions such as Tsinghua and Chengchi University

NCU is organized into eight colleges—Earth Sciences; Electrical Engineering & Computer Science; Engineering; Hakka Studies; Health Science & Technology; Liberal Arts; Science; and Management—serving nearly 19 undergraduate departments, 48 graduate institutes, and 38 research centers The university is particularly renowned for its strengths in space science, remote sensing, geophysics, biotechnology, Hakka cultural studies, and industrial economics
