Overview
Njala University is a rural public research university in Sierra Leone, formally established as an autonomous institution in 2005 under the University Act. Its history dates back to 1964 when it began as Njala University College affiliated with Fou rah Bay College. Today it is the second-largest university in the country, with over 25,000 students across its two main campuses in Njala (Moy amba District) and Bo, providing sub-degree, undergraduate, and postgraduate education tailored to national development needs.
