Overview
Located in the historic Château de Differdange, Luxembourg, the Miami University John E. Dolibois European Center (MUDEC) has been Miami University’s European campus since 1968. Named in honor of Miami alumnus and Luxembourg native John E. Dolibois (Class of 1942), a distinguished diplomat and U.S. Ambassador to Luxembourg, MUDEC offers American undergraduate students an immersive study abroad experience while earning direct Miami University credits.
MUDEC’s academic program emphasizes global perspectives, cultural immersion, and experiential learning, with courses in political science, international business, European studies, and liberal arts—many incorporating travel components to key EU institutions and cultural sites Beyond academics, MUDEC leverages its strategic location in the heart of Europe for excursions to cities like Brussels, Paris, Strasbourg, and Berlin, deepening students’ understanding of transnational issues.
