The University of Cyprus (UCY) is the oldest and largest public university in Cyprus, established in 1989 in the capital city of Nicosia. As the island’s flagship higher education institution, UCY has rapidly developed into a internationally recognized research university, consistently ranking among the top 500 universities worldwide. The university operates in both Greek and Turkish languages, reflecting Cyprus’s bicommunal character, with an increasing number of programs offered in English.
