Overview

Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHeS) is Malawi’s premier institution for medical and health professions education, established in 2019 through the merger of the College of Medicine and Kamuzu College of Nursing. As the only specialized health sciences university in Malawi, KUHeS plays a critical role in addressing the nation’s healthcare workforce shortages. With campuses in Blantyre, Lilongwe, and Mangochi, the university trains doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and other health professionals through innovative, community-oriented programs. KUHeS maintains strong partnerships with Malawi’s major hospitals and research institutions, providing students with extensive clinical training opportunities.
