Université Boubacar Ba de Tillabéri (UBT) is a public university established in 2020 in Niger’s western Tillabéri region. Named after a prominent Nigerien educator, the university was created to address educational disparities in western Niger and promote regional development. UBT specializes in agriculture, pastoralism, and security studies – fields critical to this border region facing climate and security challenges.
