Overview

The University of Lusaka (UNILUS), founded in 2007 and officially chartered under Zambia’s Higher Education Act, is a private institution based in Lusaka. Initially established as the Institute of Corporate Training & Research (ICTAR), it began offering undergraduate degrees in partnership with Copperbelt University in 2008 and launched its own programmers by 2009. Since then, UNILUS has grown rapidly into a dynamic academic community, with over 14,000 students enrolled across bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral studies. It emphasizes career-oriented education, practical skills training, industry engagement, and research tailored to economic and social development in Zambia and beyond.
