Overview
Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU), established in June 2010, is Nepal’s first state-owned technical university. Located in Rampur, Chitwan, AFU was formed by merging the Rampur Agriculture Campus of the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science (IAAS) and the Forestry Campus of the Institute of Forestry (IOF) in Hetauda. The university aims to produce highly skilled human resources in agriculture, forestry, veterinary, and allied sciences through quality teaching, research, and extension programs.
