Overview
Megatrend University is a private institution based in New Belgrade, Serbia. Established in 1989 initially as a business school, it expanded into a full university system and was briefly renamed “University John Naisbitt” (2015–2017) before reverting to its original name. The university is relatively small today, with under 400 enrolled students as of the 2022–23 academic year.
The university carries a low public reputation in Serbia due to persistent concerns around academic integrity, management controversies, and questions about diploma credibility. Media and former students have criticized it over issues such as alleged falsified lecturer lists and inflated enrollment statistics. Despite official accreditation of its programs, many in the public advise caution when considering degrees from Megatrend.
