Overview

The University of Mosul, established in April 1967, is one of Iraq’s largest public universities and a significant academic center in the Middle East. Located in Mosul, the university offers bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees in over 100 scientific specializations. It comprises 24 colleges, including Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Engineering, Law, Arts, and Agriculture, along with seven research centers, six consulting offices, five hospitals and clinics, and several museums.

The university has a substantial academic staff of over 4,000 members and serves a student population exceeding 51,000. Its expansive campus covers more than 270 hectares across three areas within Mosul. The institution is committed to providing advanced programs for higher education, aiming to produce qualified graduates who contribute to the economic and social development of society.
