Overview

The University of Santo Tomas (UST) is Asia’s oldest existing university and the Philippines’ largest Catholic university. Founded in 1611 by Spanish Dominican friars, UST is renowned for preserving centuries-old academic traditions while maintaining excellence in health sciences, engineering, and humanities. It holds the distinction of being the only university visited by two popes (Paul VI and Francis).
