Overview
Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT) is Uzbekistan’s first international university, offering degrees validated by the University of Westminster in London. Established in January 2002 through a collaboration between the Umid Foundation, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of Uzbekistan, and the University of Westminster, WIUT started with just 120 students and has since grown to a community of over 5,000 learners
All instruction is conducted in English and follows British standards across undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmers, as well as executive courses The institution has developed strong academic and research capabilities, including specialized laboratories, digital libraries, innovation labs, and a modern campus in central Tashkent
