Overview

Uganda Martyrs University (UMU) is a faith-based private university established in 1993 and located in Nkozi, Mpagi District, about 82–85 km southwest of Kampala along the Kampala–Masaka Highway. UMU is owned by the Uganda Episcopal Conference and received its civil charter in April 2005. Today, the university offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and PhD-level programs through multiple faculties, one institute, three schools, and several campuses across Uganda. UMU currently serves over 4,600 full-time, part-time, and distance-learning students, with roughly 1,500 residents on the main campus and the rest attending branch campuses or studying via distance learning.
