Love And Kisses in a Box

love-and-kisses-in-box

There was once a man frustrated with his life. He had a daughter named Annie. One day near the holidays the little girl Annie thought to surprise her dad with a gift.

With finances tight and the father under strain, the little girl went to the store, bought golden wrapping paper, wrapped a box, and in the morning brought the gift to her father and said,

Daddy, I love you

The father opened the gift, only to find the box was empty. Frustrated with other things, he yelled at her, “Don’t you know that when you give a gift to someone, it should never be empty?”

Annie looked up at her father, tears falling from her eyes, and said

Father, it’s not empty. All night I blew kisses into the box for you.

Hearing this, the father’s heart melted; he hugged Annie and apologized for not realizing her love for him.

A few weeks later, in a car accident, Annie—the daughter—passed away.

The father kept that golden box beside the bed for many years, and whenever he felt discouraged he would open the box and remember the love his daughter had for him.

Moral of the Story

Love is the most precious power a person can possess and it is surely the biggest possession to possess as well. Never judge too quickly in any situation. Think a hundred times before starting a relationship and thousands of times before ending one.
